Why is Xfinity email downloading so slowly on iOS 18 using the Apple Mail app?

I have the same issue. Ever since iOS 18. I keep hoping the new updates will fix it but I’m up to 18.5 and it still persists. It shows the email but doesn’t download the body of the email for several minutes. My yahoo and gmail accounts work fine with mail app but not xfinity. Any updates ???

This is NOT an Xfinity/Comcast problem. Comcast email works perfectly fast on my IOS-17 iPhone, but became super slow after updating my iPad to IOS-18. I've been working with Apple Advanced Support, and they have acknowledged the issue and are looking into it.

Case update email from Apple Support agent on 5/3/2025:

"The engineers are still looking into this case for you and the process could take days, or weeks even. This process does take time."

She has agreed to provide weekly updates.

I strongly suggest anyone with this issue contact Apple Support and ask them to reinforce that this issue IS impacting their customers and needs to be fixed. The more they hear about it, the more attention it's likely to get.

FWIW: MS Outlook for IOS handles Comcast really well for me - it's a temporary option, though it may require a subscription, I'm not sure.

Have there been any updates on this? It is driving me crazy that it takes so long to load Comcast’s emails. Please advise. Thanks.

It’s so slow it’s almost impossible to

use the Apple Mail app for Comcast.net. I’ve been using it for years. What’s going on! I’ve tried all recommended remedies to no avail.

New update last night seems to have finally fixed it, at least for me
