Best way to upgrade a IBook G4

Please help us help you. What are you seeking to upgrade? The operating system? RAM? Storage (hard drive)? 🤷🏼‍♂️

There are multiple iBook G4 variants and we, you fellow end users, can neither see nor remotely access your iBook to see which variant you have. We rely on you 100% for important equipment details that relate to your question. They are not hard to find.

To effective help, we need the exact sub-model. If your iBook runs, do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu. The resulting window format is something like this:

Click the "More Info..." button to launch System Profiler.

The part I circled is what we need. Also write down what it shows for "Memory."

For security reasons, please DO NOT post your serial number. That will only get your info removed we'll be starting over.

👉🏻 Understand that there are no modern browsers available that will give you full internet access on that computer. Neither are there any current apps that will run on that model. If this is a learning or hobby project, I'm behind you 100%. However, if it is to get you a computer that works in todays digital world. I cannot recommend upgrading it.
