Unwanted Oval in Pages. It appears everywhere in Pages.

How to get rid of oval shape that appear in Pages?

I was trying to select a location in order to place a return. Suddenly an oval appeared. It is stationary, it seems to magnify what it covers.

But you cannot select it or delete it.
