Voice Isolation recently stopped doing much

Hi

When I first started using the Voice Isolation option, it did a great job knocking out noises, even breaths from the audio clip, leaving just the speech. But since a few updates in the past month or two, its effect has diminished dramatically.

Is there anything I can do to improve its functionality? Do I need to delete the cache or prefs or something else?
