How do I move Game Center icon that covers game controls on iPhone?

Is there a way to move the Game Center icon. It pops up while I’m playing games and it covers part of the controls for the game and keeps making me die when it pops up. It’s very annoying. Specifically I’m playing what the car and the icon covers the steering wheel so when I try to turn the car I end up pressing the icon that’s covering the wheel and I have to start the level over.
