Apple Music not updating play count

Forced to move from the old Itunes (which was impeccable with everything) the Apple Music when mu ipod classic finally run out of memory, so moved to the touch, I have over 16,000 songs. Since i have there have been issues constantly with my play count not updating. For me this is a big deal, for some I appreciate not an issue, however when you listen to a song, it will show as recently played but the number of times played is blank. I also listen to music most of the day and the lag between the mucic played on my touch and updating to apple music can be weeks. I have read numerous conversations on this topic and it seems that Apple really do not care about fixing this. I am using a windows laptop but this seems to be an issue on both windows and Macbook. Can anyone else help. (I have tried all the tips and tricks recommended previously)
