What happened to the iTunes file transfer function?

In the old iTunes, you could download/transfer files from your phone to your Mac. With the migration to Music, music file management is now done with Finder. However, the ability to transfer non-music files doesn't seem to work anymore. When you click on "File" in the Finder window, you see a list of apps that hold files on your phone, but there is no option to download (or even upload). The only option is Sync, which only launches the music files syncing action.

How can I now download non-music files from my phone to my Mac?

Thanks

iPhone 15, iOS 18
