Facetime Live Photos saving in landscape mode and being zoomed in

Lately, when i take a live photo of someone on Facetime, when I go to look at it in my photos, the photo is zoomed in to where half the original screen was cut off and it is horizontal. I don’t have orientation lock on, and I haven’t seen any help anywhere. If this is a bug how do i fix it?
