Final Cut Pro 11.0.1 Crashing When Editing Live Drawing Clips on Mac

Issue:

Final Cut Pro 11.0.1 on macOS 15.3.1 crashes or becomes unresponsive when editing Live Drawing clips imported from Final Cut Pro on iPad.

System Details:

• Mac Model: brand new Mac Mini M4 pro running macOS 15.3.1

• Final Cut Pro Version: 11.0.1

• Project Format: 4K HDR

Issue Description:

• I am importing Live Drawing clips via direct project transfer from Final Cut Pro on iPad to Mac.

• The crash happens when selecting or trimming a Live Drawing clip in the timeline.

• Final Cut Pro freezes and becomes unresponsive, forcing me to force quit.

• After relaunching, Final Cut Pro remains slow or unresponsive until I restart my Mac.

• This issue happens in every project containing a Live Drawing clip.

Troubleshooting Steps Tried (No Fix):

✔ Deleted Render Files (File > Delete Generated Library Files > Delete Render Files)

✔ Re-imported Live Drawing clips from iPad to Mac

✔ Created a new project with a fresh Live Drawing – Issue still occurs

Has anyone else experienced this issue with Live Drawing clips in FCP 11.0.1?

🔹 Are there any known workarounds or fixes for this crash?

Would appreciate any insights or suggestions! 🙏🏼
