Seamless Backgroud color ruins always-on

Hi, 2 days ago, suddenly my lockscreen wallpaper, photo with applied effect seamless background mono - blue color, stopped working properly. It happened after switching from work focus mode to personal focus mode.

Since then when I lock my phone and the screen dims to always-on with visible wallpaper, the screen shows only blue color instead of wallpaper.

I tried to restart the phone, played with focus modes, several settings and found out that if it happens only when effects are Seamless Background Mono and Overprint. Other effects work properly.

Attached are screenshot of locked screen not dimmed and a photo of phone with screen dimmed.

I have iPhone 16 Pro, running on iOS 18.3.2. Beta updates off.

Anybody experienced the same? Any advice?

I’m sorry to hear that. This sounds like one of those issues where you have to comb through all the settings and features, some of which you don’t even know exist. Perhaps it’d be best if you reached out to Apple Support for further assistance with this:

If you don’t mind, please let us know the solution to this issue, if you manage to fix it. Good luck!

Sure, will try and if I get a solution, I will share it here.

I just noticed one more thing. Don’t know if related.

Notifications in dimmed mode are dark. Like if icons are set to dark. For example calendar icon in notification is dark as well.

Honestly not sure if that was the same even before this issue.
