Viewing duplicate tracks in my Library in Apple Music (Windows)

I just moved my Ipod Touch library to Apple Music on my Windows 11 laptop because Itunes told me yesterday that it is now only for podcasts and audiobooks. The Music service mmmmostly works for the Touch (I subscribe to the streaming service but much prefer to have my own offline collection on the Touch), but I'm trying to view duplicate items so that I can remove them.

Everything I see about this says that I should follow the File-->Library-->View Duplicate Items path, but I can't find File to start with. Is there a way for me to view the duplicates in Apple Music?

Thanks!

iPod, iOS 15

Did you perhaps install Apple TV first? Again that message will be shown if you have installed any of Apple Music, Apple TV, or Apple Devices. Doing so generates that warning and hides the music, movies, and TV shows sections of the library from you (the data is still there), along with device management features. If you uninstall whichever are installed then iTunes should open normally. You should be able to select music from the media selection tool once more. I've done this dozens of times before finally committing a spare machine to running Apple Music all the time just so that I can more easily prove to myself that various features that people complain are missing really are missing and not just hidden in some fashion.

I have the current build of iTunes, 12.13.6.1, installed on both Windows 10 and 11. Apple may wish to push people to the new Music app, but it is such a poor product when compared to iTunes that I recommend you vote with mouse and stick to an app that works.

Should you need to reinstall iTunes the current build can always be found at this link:

When you install any of Apple Music, Apple TV, or Apple Devices for Windows, iTunes becomes altered so that it only manages audiobooks and podcasts. The new apps omit many useful features of iTunes, such as the ability to manage duplicates, rip CDs, import or export playlists, etc. Simply remove which of this set of three apps you have installed to restore functionality to iTunes.

As far as I am aware you only see that message in iTunes after you have installed one of the newer apps. Removing them all restores features to iTunes, including the ability to manage devices.

If the device still doesn't show up try iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community.
