How do I disable Apple Intelligence on my Apple devices?

I do not want A.I.— of any kind — on my phone, computer or other devices.

How do I get rid of it?

That’s fundamentally impossible with an Apple iPhone or iPad or Mac, as machine learning and related technologies have been part of Apple hardware and software for some years.

If you specifically do not want Apple Intelligence, that’s not available on an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

On an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 (all variants), where Apple Intelligence is available, there is a control that will disable Apple Intelligence itself.

That control will not, however, disable various other machine learning features, such as recognizing pets and people, or the ability to lift the foreground from within an image, and other AI-related functions and features.

I’m not sure it’s even technically possible to entirely avoid machine learning features with even a feature phone.
