Record text "Read Aloud" in MSWord to FCP

I want to record text "Read Aloud" in MSWord to FCP. I can select all of my input devices, but I do not see how to select the computer's audio. I am new to FCP on my new M4 Mini, but I used other video editing software on my old MacBook Pro, where I could select system audio as an input.

Suggestions?

Thank you.

I've never tried this and am not in front of FCP at the moment. I've always just recorded text to a file (using elevenlabs) and then imported it. I wonder if something like Blackhole Audio might work to route the audio between apps. Or maybe using the open source Audacity with Blackhole. I'm guessing the macOS built-in voices are not suitable? You can type "say" in the Terminal followed by text. To capture the output to a file you'd type:

$ say -v Ava "Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country." -o output.aif

Thank you. Installed Blackhole ch2. System sound now recordable. This is a big help to my development of some content in a current project. Appreciate all the help given here.

I report that the landing page at https://www.blackhole.audio, shown below, that links to "Donate $10" lands on a dead page:

So, I navigated to https://existential.audio/blackhole/ to find a valid donate button, where it seems as though support pages, https://existential.audio/blackhole/support/, are found.

Links on https://www.blackhole.audio/ to support pages are dead, too:

Fine. I rooted around to get on the right path back at https://existential.audio/blackhole/. However, perhaps decommisioning the https://www.blackhole.audio/ landing page would not lead to confusions among novice wankers like I am. In my Google Search, the https://www.blackhole.audio/ link lands in the second entry. Its URL looks at first view as more primary, intuitive, and credible than the https://existential.audio/blackhole/ link.

However, all's well that ends well. I am happy for this hour, which is a bold statement if you read the news.

I am not having trouble with "Read Aloud" in Word.

I am trying to record what is "Read Aloud" in FCP. What is "Read Aloud" is output to my speaker or whatever external device used.

Yes, Audacity is an app I tried also. The audio inputs available are:

No opportunity to pick up the system audio.

Trying more things to engineer a solution.

Thanks for taking an interest in my FCP recording problem
