Live ingest clips not updating in browser

Hi, I am a news editor and at my station we are making the transition to Final Cut Pro 11 for our news editing needs, and so far everything works out perfectly expect for one thing and that’s the live editing from a recording that’s on going such as for breaking news, the recording software we are using is softron movie recorder and we have the settings set right for live ingest editing for the recording software and we can see the file update in finder when we preview the clip but once we pull that clip into Final Cut Pro 11 it imports it just fine and the import settings are leave in place but when we grabbed the clip we need and then check to see if there’s another clip we could use so I go back to the browser and try to drag the source clip but it won’t do it, it’s like it only grab a snapshot of the live ingest clip so I go back to finder and check the original recording and there’s more in the recording but Final Cut just won’t update that clip in the browser even though if I tell Final Cut to reveal source in finder it goes to the same live recording clip that is still growing the only way I get around this is to reimport the video, so is there a way for Final Cut Pro 11 to have the browser update the video if that video is a live ingest recording?
