Enterprise app is crashing on launch and some users got their contacts deleted after trusting enterprise

I have been facing few issues recently with enterprise iOS applications. Some users are complaining the app is crashing on launch but other user are able to use it just fine. It is all happening because of changed trust flow, that requires iPhone to restart.


There is one user which says after installing and trusting enterprise certificate on iPhone all of his contacts were deleted. The certificate and profile are both valid.a

An enterprise app is a side-loaded custom app intended for use within larger organizations.


The app does whatever the app does. Or doesn’t.


App crashes and app corruptions are usually app problems, or can be problems that the app developer needs to diagnose and report to Apple (for Apple bugs) or to the third-party (for third-party dependencies); reported to whoever is responsible for the crash or for the corruption.


Beyond removing the app, restarting the iPhone or iPad, and again side-loading the app, nobody around here can offer assistance. We don’t have access to the app and its source code. Nor can Apple help, as they (also) don’t have the source code to the app.


As stated above, contact the enterprise IT organization.


If you’re the enterprise IT organization, contact the app developer.


If you are not associated with the enterprise organization, then the app is not for you, and is best removed from all of your devices.
