How do I fix low Wi-Fi range on my MacBook?

Hi,

I am using a 2019 Macbook 12" and have been experiencing very poor wifi network connections on my laptop. When I am closer to the router, it is slightly better, but the location of the router is not the case because the wifi connection works fine on all other devices including HP Laptop, Iphone, Android Phones, at the same location as my macbook. The wifi connection takes a long to connect first and it keeps getting lost. I feel there is some issue with my macbook and not with the positioning of the router. The range of my macbook seems to be very low while it is supposed to be the most advanced device I am using in comparison to all other devices who have no problem in connecting seamlessly and smoothly to the same wifi network. Any way that I can improve this range please?
