Screenshare on iPhone not working

Ever since I updated to iOS 18.3.1 my screenshare has stopped working. I updated it on Saturday and Saturday night I went to screenshare with my my friend and at first he said it showed up as a black screen so I tried again and the tab in the top left corner stayed green as it usually turns purple when you screenshare so meaning It was not even working when I tried to again. I have reset my phone,shutdown my phone,turned off face time and turned it back on, and even deleted FaceTime. This is a big inconvenience as me and my friend usually use this feature nightly thank you for any help.
