Configd using a lot of memory
Configd is using up a ton of my memory, and I'm not sure if it is essential or if there is a way to get it to stop slowing up my computer. I'm running Venture 13.4

" configd is normally started as a daemon during the boot process. It monitors changes to network-related items, such as link status, DHCP assignments, PPP connections, and IP configuration, and provides an API for applications to be notified of these changes. "
Is the computer using any Commercial VPN , any Third Party Security Software, any Third Party 2-Way Firewall ?

Always make a Time Machine Backup before doing any upDates
It maybe the only way back if things do wrong
