Why can't I add my card to Apple Wallet?

I am facing same issue, first I thought its my bank, then i had this new account too and tried to add it and same, so to be sure what i did, i deleted the existing working card and tried to add it in Apple Wallet and yeah same issue. Its something up with the last iOS update i did. Currently updated to iOS 18.3.1.

So, the card is working for you or not? I’m clear on the iCloud name. There are several names people intermix, iCloud account, Apple ID and now Apple’s new name, Apple Account.

It’s not a good thing to add you card(s) to other peoples Apple Accounts. If a card is stolen or compromised by scammers, they’ll try to add the card to their Wallet app. Banks are pretty wise to this, but may be very suspicious of adding it to other devices. They may require additional verification steps or even block the card for a month or longer.

I tried to add card to my apple watch too but same error says contact issuer's. But the thing is i removed my already added card and tried to add again and it says same.

@Jeff i am having same issue, i would like to share screenshots if possible. Also i got an email from the card issuer when i tried to add and it fails but they send me an success email.
