Music app glitching on macOS Sequoia 15.3.1 auto play and CD import issue

Hi All,

Good morning, I wonder if anyone can help explain an issue I seem to be having with the Music App on a Mac. The Mac is running an unsupported upgrade of macOS Sequoia v. 15.3.1.

Originally, when I inserted a CD in to my external CD player, The Music App would start playing and also import the music at the same time. This ability seems to have vanished. I no longer have any auto play and if I try to import the music, the CD can't play at the same time.

Does anyone know if this an issue because of an "update" or whether installing Sequoia on an unsupported machine is likely to be the cause?

Can anyone suggest a workaround or solution please?
