iPad Pro M4 no longer showing Battery Maximum Capacity

I bought a new iPad Pro M4 in August 2024. For the first three months, I always used it while connected to power, and maybe once or twice a week, I would use it on battery until it dropped to 20%, then charge it back up to 80%. However, in late November, the iPad suddenly stopped showing the maximum battery capacity as it used to. Instead, under the Maximum Capacity settings, I now see the message: 'iPad must be regularly used while not connected to power to show maximum capacity. Learn more' along with a link to a page explaining the reason.

Since then, I have been using it on battery and never while connected to power, but even after months, it still does not show the Maximum Capacity. I contacted Apple Support, but they had no idea how to resolve this issue. Resetting the iPad also didn’t help.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any recommendations?

Turn off your 80% Limit and let it charge to 100%. It may need to do that a couple of cycles. With 80% limit turned on, the iPad will charge to 100% on its own occasionally to calibrate the battery to report and report accurate Battery Health, but if that is prevented by unplugging before it gets the chance to charge to 100%, then the calibration will never happen. After that you can turn on 80% limit again, but just make sure you do let it charge fully whenever it needs to.
