How do I get a Thunderbolt Display to work with a MacStudio. I have the Thunderbolt 2-3 adapter.

I am looking to see how I can get a Thunderbolt Display to work with a MacStudio. I have the Thunderbolt 2-3 adapter. With this connection, it works on my older iMac and MacBookPro, but with the Studio the screen remains dark.

I see a prior question where this action worked.

Connecting Thunderbolt Display (Thunerbolt 1 connector) to Mac Studio (Thunderbolt 4 port)

Having Purchased all "singing and dancing" Mac Studio with Apple Studio Display I was hoping to be able to connect my 27inch Thunderbolt Display Model A1407 which has Thunderbolt 1 (one) Cable to Mac Studio's Thunderbolt 4 (four) port. While adaptors Thunderbolt 2 to 4 do exist I struggle to find an adaptor which might do this task. Can anyone suggest solution ?"

I'm assuming that you are not trying to daisy-chain the Apple Thunderbolt 3-to-2 adapter and Thunderbolt Display off the USB-C hub ports on the Apple Studio Display. Those hub ports are USB-only and do not carry Thunderbolt signals.

You may be running into the problem where the built-in hydra cable on the Thunderbolt Display is bad or flaky; not quite bad enough to prohibit getting a video signal when using older Macs, but bad enough that recent versions of macOS would intentionally cut signal due to the detection of display transmission errors.

If this is the case, you might be able to get the display to work by running a Thunderbolt 1/2 cable from the TB2 side of the Apple 3-to-2 adapter to the TB daisy-chaining port on the Thunderbolt Display - bypassing the flaky cable.
