Should I connect my AirPort tower directly to the Mac for backups?
my airport tower is connected to modem..should i connect it directly to the mac for backups???

Does your Mac have an Ethernet port? That is what you will need if you want to connect your Mac directly to the AirPort Time Capsule with an Ethernet cable.
