Double Click to open an email has stopped suddenly after Ventura update

As some previous messages have stated the double click feature to open an email or attachment has stopped working. Other applications that use the double click feature are working fine.

I rebooted the system and the problem still persist.

I am running Ventura 13.7.4 and this issue started Feb 28, 2025. Prior to that it worked fine.

Any suggestions on how to get it back to the double click on the email?

Thanks. I found the issue. For some reason the double click speed was set all the way to the fastest. I don't know how or why it was there but that was the issue.
