How do I protect my iPhone from gettting hacked or cloned?

it's pretty much only you that you need protection from

if you fear somebody compromised your appleID then read (because your iPhone itself is not really at risk)

If you think your Apple Account has been compromised - Apple Support

and read

Recognize and avoid social engineering schemes including phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

and

Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

and

Phishing - Wikipedia

but of cause if you jail break the iphone all bets are off

About a Hacked iPhone:

Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if it has been hacked, unless you know that it has been hacked (officially called "jailbroken". And, the only way for an iPhone to have hacked is if it has been jailbroken.

So, what to do...

Resetting to Factory Settings:

If you are so concerned, then reset you iPhone to factory settings, as if you were to sell it. Go here: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Perform as instructed there, including the backup creation and iCloud logout.

Also…

Secure your Account:

If concerned for device access, then (A)verify your devices, and (B)secure your account. Open a new eMail address and use that for your Apple ID.

1. Verify your Devices:

Verify that all devices are logged in to your account, by using this link: Check your Apple ID Device List to See where you're Signed in - Apple Support

then...

2. Modify your Credentials:

Having been stollen, someone lily has your credentials. So, by all means, modifying them.

• Modify: your login credentials (Using Both a New eMail and a New Password for each and all sites)
• Associate: a different method of payment to your account
• Enable: Two-Factor Authentication for Apple ID and for all other accounts that have such an applicable option

Holding Those Accountable…

Trace these Senders By eMail Headers:

The only way to track down eMail scammers to the very best, is by finding the eMail’s headers and tracing it right down from you (the recipient) to the sender (the sender), as it was sent server-to-server over the Internet. All goes by what is referred to as an IP Address, and much more, all being data traffic.

Reporting these Headers:

Research how to find the headers, and copy & paste them into the reports, in particular those to sites requesting the headers. Such as these sites that I provided in my User Tip:
