Siri was working as a glow around the edges of my iPhone but now has reverted back to the shimmering orb. How can I get back to the glowing edge?

Try restarting your iPhone. Also, are you using iOS 18.3.1?

Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and make sure Apple Intelligence is turned on. When turned off, Siri reverts to its original animation.
It seems that after I turned apple intelligence off, turning it on does not re-install apple intelligence. So until apple intelligence is re-installed, Siri remains in its old form. It has been several days without re-installing.
I did try to restart my phone. A problem with my situation is that I don’t have a WiFi connection at my home. So I will wait for the next update to IOS 18 (18.4) and see what happens then.
