Perhaps you have the Google browser set to Dark Theme. In the bottom of the screen is Settings. Click on it and select Search Settings > Other settings > Dark Theme to turn it OFF.

While there is a google inversion tool ~ that, I've not consciously used.
In the Apple, macOS X: A path to invert black to white, & back, goes
something like this:
"Invert colors on your Mac? Go to System Preferences, select Accessibility, then Display,
and check the "Invert colors" option. You may also use Keyboard Shortcut, "Control +
Option + Command + 8" ~ to toggle the B&W inversion effect, on and off."
This was one of the first things an elementary school pupil did, with
a Mac, to get the attention of his/her instructor. Often took much of
a class period, to sort this mystery out. Way Back in the early daze!
(And much later than my first computer experiences, too.)
