FCP sluggish; what files and folders to flush to work better

On my Mac mini (2023), running Sequoia 15.3.1 with M2 Pro chip, FCP is sluggish, the timeline often sticking, plus other things.

What files and folders can I delete/flush to speed things up?

FCP 11 Suddenly Unusably Slow Launched FCP 11.0 this morning to find it took over a minute to open and load my most recent library. As I started to edit, I received the spinning beach ball with nearly every click, even for the most simple operations (adding an adjustment layer, changing a LUT, etc.) Tried restarting the program multiple times, clearing generated files, restarting my Mac, even updated to Sequoia since I was a bit behind on that. Still the same performance issues. It was running smoothly less than 24 hours ago, with no changes to my computer that I can possibly think of. For reference, I'm running a 16" M2 Pro MacBook Pro with 35GB RAM. All of my files are on an external Samsung SSD and have been for quite some time. Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas on how to bring FCP back to a usable speed would be greatly appreciated!

FCP 10.6.8 freezing on MacOS 12.6.8 Hello, all! I am using FCP 10.6.8 on a Late 2013 Mac Pro running macOS 12.6.8 and until I upgraded to this OS, everything was fine. Now, FCP hangs up at the slightest action. Just now, it hung up when selecting a file to import. I finally had to Force quit and on restart, it's been almost three minutes and has not brought up my FCP work space yet. I have consolidated files for my projects, but no action. It MAY come up eventually, but I don't have time to sit here and watch it? Anything I should be looking into here? Thanks in advance! Geo. Willeman

Ventura performance issue My Mac is very slow since I installed ventura. It takes up to 15 sec. to show the content of a folder in the finder. Same problem in open and save dialogs in applications… The problem appears only, when folders have quite many items (more than 500). But before Ventura I never had to wait for any windows to show content. MacBook Pro, 16" 2021, 64 GB RAM mac OS 13.4

Verify the PERCENTAGE of free space on your system drive.

I highly recommend the app Arctic to manage FCP Libraries. It lets you track and manage render files, analysis files, offline content, etc, very easily.

Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy & Security Sysyytem Settings. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box.
