Why does 9to5Mac website frequently freeze on macOS Safari?

Am I nuts or does the 9to5Mac website often become almost useless with Safari on macOS? I’ve been experiencing freezes, incomplete loading for years on this site. Of course their iOS app has no issues and iOS Safari seems to be okay. You’d think that a premier Apple rumor site like 9to5Mac would make sure things work right with Safari on Mac. Deleting cookies and emptying caches works for a while.

So am I nuts or what?

Using M4 Mac Mini with Sequoia 15.3.1 with Safari Version 18.3 (20620.2.4.11.5) plus Firefox 135.0.1

Safari extension " Ad and Stuff Blocker "

In Safari >> Setting >> Websites >> Content Blocker with 9to5 Block Content ON

Clearer looking and less adverts

The website functions without issues .
