Focus mode automatically ejects my hard drives every day

The Mac ejects my hard drives daily at 5:00PM when the 'focus' mode of WORK turns off. Every day. Work focus is set 8:00AM-5:00Pm M-F.

I just figured that the modes between the mac and phone don't need to be synced so I deleted the modes on the Mac.

This has happened for years; did anyone else ever experience this?
