I have auto update turned on and when you tell it to update it acts like it is verifying the update but can’t. I found that turning off auto updates makes it able to manually start the download and updates the file.

the betas are no longer signed for certain devices and will not install.
Use the Feedback Assistant in beta versions to report your difficulty.
Beta software is not to be discussed in this forum.
Maybe download and install it manually? (fresh download may work)
