If you had an iCloud Backup before your iPhone was lost, all your data should be saved in the cloud. That includes all your messages, photos, videos, apps, emails, etc. Without some kind of a backup all your data will be gone. Realistically, lost iPhones are never recovered.

The SIM card only contains a small amount of information needed to connect your phone to a cellular network. It does not contain data like photos and videos.

If your data exists in some place other than your lost phone, e.g.,

  • Synchronized to iCloud
  • Backed up to iCloud
  • Stored on e-mail servers (e-mail and associated calendar entries)

then you may be able to recover it.

If your data existed only on your lost phone, you cannot recover it, unless by some miracle you get the lost phone back in good condition.

Your iCloud Backup is not saved on your lost iPhone, but rather in the cloud, where you can access anywhere on any device. If you sign in to your original Apple Account login on your current iPhone, you can access all your data on there.

The new iPhone must be logged into the same Apple Account that you used to make the backup.

It is possible o change the primary e-Mail address associated with an Apple Account, but if you are talking about having created a different Apple Account, you will not be able to restore the backup from it. Any more than you can watch a TV set in your neighbor’s living room from your own living room.
