How open eyedropper with Magnetic Mask?

Brand new to FCP 11 and first time using Magnetic Mask. I want to color correct a face in a clip and have it track it.

I applied Magnetic Mask to the clip. (There is a band along the top of the clip with the words "Magnetic Mask")

Instructions I read say to then "Click on the subject's face with the eyedropper tool and the mask will automatically snap to the skin's contours."

But I can't figure out to get an eyedropper. Even when I highlight the clip and drag my cursor to the viewer, nothing happens.

Your help is very welcome. Thanks. Duncan

Make sure the Magnetic Mask is selected in the Inspector (has a yellow line around it):

Then move your cursor over the image in the Canvas and the cursor should change into the eyedropper.
