On CarPlay, Podcasts keep going back to start at the beginning

On CarPlay, podcasts start over from beginning after turning off the car. Just started happening in the last month. When I play a podcast through Apple CarPlay, after I shut the car off to run errands or whatever when I go back into the car and start , the podcast I was listening to stars from the beginning and instead of the place where I left off. Phone is updated

Podcast app repeating a few seconds after interruption Since the latest update this issue has started. If I listen to a podcast and it gets interrupted by an advert in another app, when it restarts (on muting the ad) it skips back a few seconds, so I hear the same thing again. Why are Apple Podcasts playing a random show by default when the current podcast ends? I am so frustrated listening to your podcast app. I typically listen to many episodes from one specific show, one after another. I don’t know if it was the iOS 18 update back in 2024, but for a long time now, each time an episode from a specific show ends, another show will play right afterwards— a show that I do not want to listen to. Even if I manually remove every single show from the Up Next area, the next day, there will be a whole bunch of random shows back in there. The only way to solve this annoyance is to uncheck continuous play. That doesn’t stop the random shows from appearing up next. It just stops those random shows from automatically playing after the episode that I am listening to ends. Less Posted [Edited by Moderator]
