Since updating to iOS 18.3.1 Notifications from Apps like WhatsApp, Mail, Banks and others do not deliver. Most noticeably WhatsApp as messages as they only get delivered if the App is opened. Have set Notifications to ON on nealry all Apps and still nothing is being delivered. Iphone 14 Pro.

I did not do a back-up prior to the update. To be honest, now that I think of it, I am not 100% certain that the problem actually did start “after” the update. Could have been a short while after and not immediately.
Any other ideas?

I'm having the same issue here, I have an IPhone 15 Pro, and after the update, my WhatsApp and other apps like Bank, Gmail, is receiving update only when I open the app, it's not working in background.
I've already tried to reset all settings, notifications and background app refresh is on, and nothing work. I don't receive neither WhatsApp call, it doesn't ring at all.
I'm thinking about do a full Backup and try to reset the iPhone completely, deleting all data and starting over.
hello! i have the same problem... mi iphone is the 16! I have done everything to fix the problem but nothing helps me..
I have solved my problem. I purchased extra iCloud storage to enable backing up my WhatsApp messages. Then I reset, erased and then restored my phone. All is working well now. It was a bit difficult getting all my music and iCloud Photos synced but now all is working.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Since installing update 18.3.1 on my iPhone 14 I seem to have an issue with WhatsApp, that was not present before hand.
Basically I go into the App, start typing, then it chucks me out !
When I go back in it is as if the app is reloading, and any text I have started to type is wiped.
It happens every time I open the App, once, and then works as it should.
Yes I have tried all the usual tricks, but these make no difference.
As said, before the update there were no issues whatsoever.
Anyone else experiencing this ?
Same happens with my iPhone 13. I freed up space in the memory, offloaded the app and nothing worked.
