How do I replace music in an old iMovie clip within a new project?

I am using iMovie and have inserted a clip of a prior iMovie in this new one. I want to delete the music and add new to the old clip.

On what device?

Assuming this is on a Mac, if the clip includes embedded music, you will need to silence it by clicking on the top of the music track waveform, where the cursor turns into 2 up and down arrows, in the inserted clip and dragging it down.

Then just insert the new music track under the clip in the time line.

On other devices, it should be similar, but if you need specific instructions, you need to tell us what device you are using iMovie in.
