updates for my Mac desktop running 12.7.6 Late 2015

I have a Mac 27" 12.7.6 os late 2015. Can I update this? Some of my programs that previously worked, now won't...

That is the highest possible version for a late 2015 iMac. See the following from Identify your iMac model - Apple Support


iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

Model Identifier: iMac17,1

Part Numbers: MK462xx/A, MK472xx/A, MK482xx/A

Newest compatible operating system: macOS Monterey

Love computer but not happy. Programs now not able to be updated. At 75 I don't want to buy another computer. Not right that parts of this system are no longer operable. Would like Apple to know the frustration of many with inability to use what worked last year! Microsoft programs in particular cannot be updated. States system needs 13...mine is 12.7.6! Won't allow to upgrade to Ventura OS! SAD...

Also having this problem and furious about it. This computer was purchased for my law office, it was very expensive (and the highest amount of storage I could get). I refuse to believe Apple won’t address this issue. Yet I find no answers anywhere.
