I’m an IMovie user. Just today when creating a new project I’m unable to preview. It frozen on the first screen.
No additional updates available.

Recent update to iOS 18.3 appears to have a bug that is causing iMovie photo projects to freeze on the first frame. Apple will need to address it, hopefully on the next update. Meanwhile, as a workaround, inserting a video clip anywhere in the timeline will unlock the freeze.
