How to relink files after 3rd party color correction. The project was sent back as a .mov file which I imported into FCPX 10.7

Sent my project out to be color corrected and it was returned to me as a Quicktime movie. I then imported that into FCP 10.7 library to correct a typo. But the timeline is the entire movie and not in clips.

How do I get the timeline into clips so that I can edit an End credit?

Whoever did the color correction should have sent you an FCP compatible XML file with the graded clip. You'll have two manually Blade that section of the movie file out and somehow cover up the bad spelling and place proper spelling on top, I'd assume using the exact same title template.

But a single QT movie file is a single QT movie file. There's no separate clips any longer. It's just like when you export a video from FCP, it's just one clip, not several.
