My AirPod pro Gen 1 replacement ear tips don’t fit.

I have recently purchased a pair of ear tips for my Gen 1 AirPod pros. I attempted to fit the tips to the earpiece (on the AirPod itself) but it doesn’t connect properly. I believe the tip I received was for a later model.

the ear tip for my AirPod pros model was entirely silicone. The replacement ear tips connective area was plastic, so it cannot be fitted on.

I also noted that the area surrounding the speaker on my model is white, rather than black.
