I recently purchased a new iMac Mini 2024. I decided to back up so important files from my old Desktop Mac 2012 to the SanDisk drive.SSD. It worked perfectly and mounted the old Mac without any problems.
However when I try to mount it to the new MAC Mini or my old Mac it does not mount.
The SSD is only a week old. Don't understand why I can't now see the device on either computers

FWIW, I would suggest getting two drives for backup as an any backup can fail. Preferably, it would be a good idea to get two completely different devices, i.e. different technologies and/or different manufacturers.
