Internal disk has 3 volumes but I want to remove the Macintosh HD

Hello! I am so confused after researching a few related discussions about this. This is what I am trying to do:

  1. Can I remove/erase Macintosh HD to get my storage back?
  2. How can I do it?
  3. How to create a partition for two different macOS? What is the best way?

This is my Disk:

The current one I am using is Macos, not the Macintosh HD. Because, I had an issue of booting into it before that's why I urgently created another, which is Macos. Bootcamp needs to still be there as well.

I appreciate all the help. I have been trying to find a solution for quite some time now.

To be sure, can you give us a screen shot of " The current one I am using is Macos "

We what to be absolutely certain "MacOS " has the mount port of /System/Macos

If it Does have that Mount point >> /System/Macos

Yes you can remove " Macintosh HD " using the Minus Sign in Disk Utilities

As for installing another version of macOS on the same computer

It Not Suggested to Partition an APFS / GUID formatted drive which it would be as it is running macOS 14 Sonoma

It Is suggested to this method outlined by Apple

I read somewhere that it is the main macos, something something, and removing it would not allow you to boot up your macos without using a USB?

I really don’t know anything about any “something, something.”

On Apple Silicon, the secure boot information is stored on the internal drive, not specifically in the System Volume.

You do have a backup of the other system, right?
