Why is iTunes not recognizing my iPhone and iPod after adding music?

I added music to my ITunes on my PC and went to update my IPhone and IPod, but the ITunes app will not identify that I have the IPhone or IPod connected. My PC identifies that I have these products connected, but not the ITunes app. Did something recently change with ITunes? I tried restarting my PC, my phone, and even deleted and reinstalled the ITunes app, but no luck.

Thanks, however, I have tried all of those steps and no luck. It doesn't matter if I connect either of my IPods, or my IPhone, it won't recognize any of my devices. My PC shows that the devices are connected, but ITunes or Apple Music will not detect the devices.
