Missing podcast episodes from "Up Next"

Over the last year or more, I've had certain podcast subscriptions disappear from my "Up Next" feed. These are longstanding podcasts from credible organizations. For each episode of the affected podcasts, I have to manually go into my library to find the most current show and play it from there. In one case, doing this added it back to my "Up Next" feed, but no others have, and there are about 10 of them that have this problem. What can I do to solve this issue?

'Wondery' podcasts don't show up in "latest episodes" list in Apple podcasts app I use Apple Podcasts' "latest episodes" list all the time to decide what to listen to next. (Obvs it's a list of the latest episodes of all the podcasts I subscribe to arranged by time updated, with the newest at the top.) I've noticed at least one podcast (Ten Percent Happier) that is now part of the 'Wondery' thing no longer shows up in 'latest episodes' at all. (I don't subscribe to Wondery, so if I want to listen to these podcasts I need to go to the "shows" list and hunt that way.) Is this how it works with Wondery podcasts for non Wondery subscribers? If so, does the same problem occur in other podcast apps, does anyone know?

Unwanted podcasts showing up in Listen Now This started a couple of weeks ago. In the Listen Now section of the podcast app, under the Up Next header, I'm getting episodes for podcasts I'm not subscribed to nor have ever been subscribed to. I may have listened to one or two episodes from the podcasts, but I never subscribed, and I never relistened to the episodes. Usually, episodes I download are removed after I've listened to them. But now I'm bombarded with episodes for every single podcast I've ever listened to. Which is really annoying. How can I get the podcast app to stop doing this?
