Using older MacBook Pro to stream music
I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro with OS 10.13.6 that I'd like to set up to stream music, primarily from Amazon Music HD. I haven't used computer for a while but I believe it's as UTD as possible, iOS wise. It is SLOOOOW to boot and SLOOOOW to load the Amazon music site.
I'd like to speed it up so I think I need to basically wipe the HD and just add Chrome or Safari as my browser and hopefully that will speed things up. I don't think there is much on the HD that I'd need as I haven't touched it in a couple of years. IF I clear it completely is there a way to save the OS as I'm not sure I saved the discs.
Long winded question is this the best approach to speed up the loading of websites if I'm just going to use this computer for streaming music. Thanks in advance.
