Thumbnails Keep Returning 😬 Pages iOS and Mac

I am forever closing thumbnails with Pages. Many larger documents always open with annoying Thumbnails, then I have to turn them off. If I open another app, then Return to Pages, again thumbnails are showing. It is so distracting, especially on my preferred iPad-Mini portrait view.

Tech support cannot help, and several times told me that I should report it online, but I don’t know any other way.

How to fix iPad Pro app switcher thumbnail issues? The thumbnails in the app switcher are not showing current status of the app. Specially I keep seeing in the Chrome thumbnail a page that was opened weeks ago and it’s not even in the history of chrome anymore. Pages thumbnails not working as expected Clicking on the thumbnails and the page doesn't move where I want. AND - the wrong page moves wherever it wants. HELP!
