Screen recording video without audio in iPhone

I have tried to record a video call but when i play back the video there is no sound recorded. I have tried the microphone button on the controlpanel and it does record sound, but only until the video call starts.

I use the video call feature alot and like to take notes by recording them. My partner does this with her android phone and it works perfectly. Why cant iphone do this?

Screen recording a video call may not capture the audio if the device is connected to a Bluetooth device with a built-in microphone. This is because certain Bluetooth connections prioritize the microphone input over system audio output, preventing the screen recording feature from accessing the call's sound. Additionally, some apps impose privacy restrictions that block audio recording during calls to protect user conversations. To ensure the audio is recorded, try disconnecting Bluetooth devices, using the device’s built-in microphone and speakers, or using wired headphones without a microphone.
