How can I manually add album artwork to 84 MP3 songs in iTunes on a PC?

I am using iTunes on a PC. I have 84 songs that I cant add artwork to using iTunes or manually. The songs are mp3 format. The add album artwork button is grayed out. Dragging and dropping doesn't work either.

Issues with album art in iTunes for Windows iTunes for Windows 12.12.6.1 (latest) seems unable/unwilling to add album art to my .mp3 files. I'm taking some time and "re-doing" my music library and updating several lower-bitrate files. The tags on these files are all accurate, and the album art is written to the tag as well as stored in the same folder as the .mp3 file. Despite these steps I've taken, there are a great many files with no album art. I can go into the file info, go to the artwork tab, click add artwork, browse to the file, click open, click ok...but nothing changes. Still no album art. In many cases, iTunes cannot find album art either, though these are not obscure tracks, but I suspect this is a separate issue. I cannot imagine why I am not able to add a locally stored image as album art to a locally stored .mp3. The files all "belong" to me from an OS (fully updated Windows 10 fwiw) level permissions perspective. Anything I'm missing/anything I can try?

Album artwork in Music app? Help!!! There seem to be quite a few queries about this issue...has any one come up with a solution that works yet? I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 14.4.1 and MacBook Pro running Macs OS Ventura 13.3.1. I have a huge (iTunes library) built mostly from CDs I have ripped to iTunes over many years and some I have bought from Itunes over the years but as many others have pointed out the album artwork for most of the library is completely messed up...why? And more importantly how the hell do I fix it? Thanks

Automatically download album artwork In the iTunes for Windows application there was an option under settings to automatically download album artwork. I'm currently using the successor to iTunes for Windows (Apple Music on Windows) but I don't see that option being presented to me even though the Settings screen is implying that it's there. Will that feature eventually be implemented in this app since iTunes will eventually be deprecated?

If the advice you already got doesn't work, have you tried copy/pasting into the artwork box? That's actually the only way I've ever added artwork in iTunes.
