I believe that ASL stands for Apple System Log – a facility that, according to iOS documentation, is intended to be a replacement for the standard syslogd logging mechanism found in many Unix systems. I'm not sure if the ASL itself might have been superseded by some newer logging mechanism. These look like messages about how the logging facility is configured.


I do not see what you hope to get out of them, unless you are one of the macOS developers yourself.
