Can I merge Apple Music song stats?

hi there,

in my library there are songs ripped years ago by original cd (my own) with 92 kbps. they are not recognised by the server so the songs are updated.

so: i listen to the 'Apple Music' song.

but: in this way there are two songs with two different statistics.

i'd like to merge the statistics.

how to?

Duplicates in Apple Music (Windows) I just upgraded to Apple Music on Windows. It lists 51 tracks as duplicate, 49 of which are Matched AAC. It won't create a placeholder on my devices, though, which means that certain albums are missing tracks, either on the original or a greatest hits album. I used to be able to force them to upload somehow in iTunes, so it was just a minor inconvenience. How do I get them up in the new app? It's not like it's taking up any more storage space for Apple. I just want a complete collection when I'm away from home.

I see duplicated songs in the library after iOS 18 update I recently updated to iOS18 as one does. I randomly noticed one day I had one or two songs that were duplicated. Which didn’t concern me at first, but the more I looked into my library I noticed that many of my songs are duplicated. I have no idea how many but it’s a lot. coincidentally, I took a screwnshot of the information that’s displayed in about in settings right after updating. For some reason, I always do this with large updates. So the day I updated it said I had 402 songs, jump to now it says I have 1,065. Which, I’m not sure if the change in numbers displayed has anything to do with songs being duplicated. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Converting my iTunes-matched library to Apple Music equivalents I have been an iTunes Match subscriber for many years, and plan on discontinuing the service when it comes up for renewal this year. I have already archived all of my matched songs offline, and I no longer listen to these local files, which I originally ripped from my large CD collection. However, I have noticed that the Apple Music versions of most albums in my library are slightly different from the ripped/matched versions, and often contain subtly different track lists, artwork, or metadata. So while I expect that after my iTunes Match subscription expires, all of my matched albums will persist in my Apple Music library, (albeit without the ability to download non-DRM original files anymore), I actually have a different goal: is there a way to replace or upgrade - normalize- these matched versions of hundreds of CDs, with the Apple Music versions? I have many curated playlists, for example, so if I do this manually, by deleting each matched album, and replacing it with the Apple Music equivalent, I will have to also manually restore each newly replaced album to each of the playlists the matched version was a member of - which would be way too much work. Also, though somewhat less concerning, years of play count metadata would be lost.
